What are lives and how do they work?
Lives are a simple system on the Free plan for balancing out wrong answers; each wrong answer costs a life, and once your lives run out you wait a short while.
How it works:
- On the Free plan you start with five lives.
- When you get a quiz answer wrong in a lesson, you lose one life.
- Once all five lives are gone, you can't start a new lesson.
- Lives automatically refill every five hours; a full set takes a bit over a day to restore.
- You can see your current life count and the next refill time on your dashboard.
Paid plans have no lives system. On Family, Pro, and Teacher you get unlimited attempts; you never lose a life and never have to wait.
If you're not patient about waiting, you can upgrade right away; the lives gate is removed instantly. If you'd like to see the plans first, read the What are the subscription plans? article.
